Berlin Events

Berlin runs on events. On any given weekend there are more things happening than you could ever attend — outdoor markets in summer, club nights that go until Monday, film screenings in parks, DIY festivals in industrial spaces, pop-up dinners, and gallery openings that double as parties.
The challenge is never finding something to do. It’s knowing which things are actually worth your time and how to get there without spending an hour figuring out the logistics.
This tag covers the events we think are worth going to: things with a clear time and place, good enough to put on your calendar. That includes seasonal events that happen once a year and become part of the city’s rhythm — like the Christmas markets in December, the long techno weekends around New Year, the outdoor film season in summer, and the street festivals that close neighborhoods for a weekend in spring and autumn.
It also covers one-off events: a visiting artist’s show, a food market that appears for three Saturdays, a concert at a venue you’ve never been to, or a community event that’s free and genuinely fun.
Berlin rewards people who pay attention. Events here often don’t advertise loudly — they appear on a poster, get shared in a group chat, and sell out before most people notice. These guides are here to help you notice earlier and plan a better week.
Whether you’re new to Berlin or looking to get past the obvious, this is where to start.
