Wandlitzsee Swimming Guide
Wandlitzsee is one of the easiest structured lake days north of Berlin. It is less mythologized than Liepnitzsee, but the Strandbad has the practical features many groups actually need: toilets, food, supervision, play areas, and rentals.

How To Use It
Pick Wandlitzsee when the group wants a Brandenburg lake but not a wild-shore experiment. The Strandbad page lists a supervised water area, boat/SUP rental, play equipment, sport options, an Imbiss, and accessible facilities.
It is also a good alternate plan when Liepnitzsee looks too crowded. The water body is different, the day is more structured, and the rentals make it easier to turn a swim into a half-day activity.
History And Odd Details
Wandlitzsee is part of the Barnim lake landscape north of Berlin and has long been tied to local leisure travel. The current Strandbad is practical rather than mythic: the municipality describes more than 10,000 square metres of bathing area with supervised water, boat and SUP rental, diving towers, a bathing platform, playground equipment, volleyball, and table tennis.
The odd comparison is with Liepnitzsee next door. Liepnitzsee gets the romance; Wandlitzsee gets the easier family infrastructure. If a group includes kids, paddleboarders, or anyone who needs bathrooms, Wandlitzsee may be the smarter choice.
