Montreal
Montreal, QC, Canada

Updated for Tuesday, June 9 to Sunday, June 14, 2026. Bookmark this page — it’s Montreal’s stable weekly events guide, refreshed every week with the best of what’s actually happening now.
Montreal’s summer properly begins this week. MURAL reaches its final days along Saint-Laurent, Francos opens its outdoor stages downtown on Friday, Moulin Rouge! and three major concerts land mid-week, OrelSan plays the Bell Centre on Thursday, Pocha MTL brings Korean food and K-pop to the Old Port basin, and Piknic closes out Sunday. It’s a lot, and almost all of it is free or cheap.
Top picks this week
MURAL Festival — Boulevard Saint-Laurent
Through Sunday, June 14 · Saint-Laurent, Plateau–Mile End
MURAL is the outdoor anchor of the week — murals going up in real time, live painting, block parties, food vendors, music, and the full street energy of Saint-Laurent at peak summer. The festival runs daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.; the final weekend is the fullest version of it. If you go once, go Saturday or Sunday.
MURAL Festival
Francos de Montréal — opening weekend
Friday, June 12 to Saturday, June 20 · Quartier des spectacles
The 36th Francos opens this Friday with French-language music of every genre across downtown. Nearly two-thirds of the shows are free on outdoor stages at Place des Arts and Place des Festivals. The ticketed programme runs at Studio TD and other indoor venues. It is the best downtown evening plan from Friday onwards — combine it with MURAL during the day for the ideal Saturday route.
Francos de Montréal
Moulin Rouge! The Musical — Place des Arts
Wednesday, June 10 · 7:30 p.m. · Place des Arts, downtown
The Broadway touring production of Moulin Rouge! is at Place des Arts this week — the full glittering spectacle of the story, with production values that don’t translate to a screen. If you’ve been meaning to go, this week is the moment. Tickets through Place des Arts.
Place des Arts
OrelSan — Bell Centre
Thursday, June 11 · 8:00 p.m. · Bell Centre
OrelSan’s La fuite en avant tour is the one major arena concert in Montreal this week, presented as part of Francos. French rap at stadium scale — a different experience from the free outdoor stages. If you want one large, self-contained show rather than wandering the festival, this is it.

Branché Festival — Old Port
Saturday, June 13 · Quai de l’Horloge, Old Port
A new French rap and urban culture festival with SDM, Guy2Bezbar, and Green Montana headlining, plus DJs, food vendors, bars, and large-scale production on the waterfront. A focused, ticketed alternative to the MURAL/Francos outdoor crowds — the clear destination if you want one defined Saturday night.

UNFACED — Pandemonium Reloaded
Sunday, June 14 · Quai de l’Horloge, Old Port
High-energy open-air show at the same Old Port waterfront stage. Vald, Sullyvan, Vladimir Cauchemar, and Todiefor. More intense and niche than the standard festival circuit — 18+, not a family afternoon.

Piknic Électronik
Sunday, June 14 · 4:00–9:30 p.m. · Parc Jean-Drapeau
This Sunday’s edition has Chus & Ceballos, Mandiz, Tokyo Mamii, DJ Playgirl, and Po. The classic Montreal Sunday outdoor electronic party — if the weather holds, it’s the easiest good call of the week.

Music and nightlife this week
Bleachers with Momo Boyd (Wednesday, Jun 10 · 7:30 p.m. · MTELUS, Sainte-Catherine): One of the stronger touring pop/rock acts of the week. Bleachers have built a reputation for high-energy live shows — good mid-week concert pick before the festival weekend takes over.
Triumph with April Wine (Wednesday, Jun 10 · 8:00 p.m. · Place Bell, Laval): The classic Canadian rock reunion that’s been selling out arenas, with April Wine in support just across the river. Worth the trip if classic rock is your thing. Place Bell
Spite with Emmure (Wednesday, Jun 10 · 7:00 p.m. · Beanfield Theatre): Metalcore double bill for anyone who wants something heavy mid-week. Tight venue, committed crowd.

Bermuda–Azores: ocean crossing and the tall ship Oosterschelde (Thursday, June 11 · 2:00 p.m. · Bibliothèque du Vieux-Saint-Laurent): French-language talk about ocean crossings and the Dutch tall ship Oosterschelde. A niche find for sailing, history, and travel enthusiasts. City event page
