How To Use It
Strandbad Buckow is the easiest anchor. The tourism page lists rowboat and pedal-boat rental, passenger-boat landing, lifeguards, toilets, playground, gastronomy, and a lawn. Before swimming, the 7.5 km Panorama-Rundweg is the obvious add-on if the group likes walking.
Schermützelsee is not the fastest lake from Berlin, but it feels like a proper escape. Use it when you want the lake to justify most of the day.

Schermützelsee is the lake that makes Buckow feel like a real destination rather than just a bathing spot. It sits in Märkische Schweiz, Brandenburg’s small “Switzerland”, where hills, ravines, forest, and water make the day feel more varied than a flat beach trip.
