Schermützelsee Swimming Guide

Schermützelsee in Buckow is one of the best Brandenburg lake days when you want the swim to be part of a bigger outing. The lake sits in Märkische Schweiz, so it pairs well with a walk, lunch in town, and a slower return.

How To Use It

Strandbad Buckow is the easiest anchor. The tourism page lists rowboat and pedal-boat rental, passenger-boat landing, lifeguards, toilets, playground, gastronomy, and a lawn. Before swimming, the 7.5 km Panorama-Rundweg is the obvious add-on if the group likes walking.

Schermützelsee is not the fastest lake from Berlin, but it feels like a proper escape. Use it when you want the lake to justify most of the day.

Before You Go

Check the Strandbad page for current opening status and prices. Check Brandenburg’s official page for water quality and warnings.
